A collection of branding and graphics focused projects I have worked on.
Sally Trend Model Backdrops and Theming
As part of the Studio team at Sally I designed the core trend backdrops for the year's creative campaigns. Above are the looks created for the '19/'20 campaigns. Using trend analysis from WGSN and other sources, I created the palette and graphic media that would be used in each campaign, as depicted on the backing boards I created for the shoot. Wardrobe and Hair & Makeup then took these designs to inspire the model looks which we then used across creative assets for each creative period on trade flyers and web/social assets.
Logo Ideation
In this project I created a brand logo and website concept for an independent game studio. The palette took inspiration from both video test screens and the visual effects players would see in old arcade games like Pac Man when the player had scored too high a score for the game to properly function any more. This motif of 'glitching' was carried to the custom typeface I developed for the brand with a simplified grotesque form using angled cut-outs to provoke interest.
Huntswood Brand Refresh Support
I joined Huntswood at a really exciting time when the company was beginning a journey of completely rebranding it's entire identity. I supported and consulted the agency we were working with on refreshing the brand logo as well as translating the new look into finished products for the company. This involved everything from flyers, whitepapers, icon sets and ad placements, to office decor and motion graphics for both internal and external use. I also played a key role in the new focus on photography for the brand. Initially I shadowed the professional photographer hired to take the initial round of 80 headshots for use in brand material and subsequently led the photography initiative in the company.
Havisham Group Branding
Whilst working for Huntswood I also worked on developing the brand of the company owner's separate venture, Havisham Group. I developed a set of brand guidelines for the company including a colour palette and usage guidance, graphic devices, and established brand fonts. The palette and look and feel of the brand was based on the luxury assets that the company dealt in.
DavidBrownlow.com
In addition to working on the Havisham brand, I designed and built the website for company founder Sir David Brownlow. This website covered his business presence as well as work in philanthropy. This gave me another opportunity to use my skills in photography, with examples of my work shown above.
JD Sports B2B Illustration
This was the key illustration at a JD Sports B2B event on digital transformation. The main illustration was used as a report cover and used on signage and collateral at the event and the smaller vignettes where also used as signage.
Lupy Co.
Lupy Co. is my personal stationary/character brand. Running Lupy Co. has been a great opportunity to keep one foot in print design as my other work becomes more and more digitally focused. In addition to this, it is a great outlet to keep my illustration skills fresh. As a brand Lupy Co. sells stickers and stationary as well as maintaining a social presence. More of my illustration work can be seen here.
